Mad Scrappers: Calendar Girls!

Mad Scrappers Club Members will become 'Calendar Girls' for the day (well between 1 - 6 p.m.) on Saturday 3rd October!  Before you scream ladies just let me explain.

Our next Scrapbook Saturday theme will be creating with some fabulous G45 'Time to Flourish' 8x8 patterned papers along with a blank 2016 calendar.

Here is a flavour of some of the gorgeous patterned papers in the 8x8 paper pad:

The calendar we will be working with is ideal for the 8x8 size papers.  As you can see they have a backing paper choice, plus all those lovely monthly sentiments and images to cut out to layer up your calendar pages.

I mentioned it to the ladies at last night's club and they were all up for joining us on the day.  I will give you more information at the next club night in August. Thanks for stopping by today, please leave a comment to let me know you have passed by this way.

July Mad Scrappers Kit: LO #3

It's the second Mad Scrappers Club (of this month) tonight and this is the third layout I created using the kit and some extra pieces from my own stash.

This month's Mad Scrappers kit contains fab patterned papers from Bo Bunny 'Boardwalk' range, coordinating cardstock and a tube of KAISERcolour paint in Marine Blue.

I used Bazzill Kraft cardstock as the base and layered this with 'Sandcastle' patterned paper.  I added some burlap and corrugate card from my own stash. I used the Marine Blue KAISERcolour paint to stamp the word 'Summer' on the patterned paper.

Looking forward to seeing everyone tonight! Thanks for stopping by. Leave a comment so that I know you have passed by this way.

Mad Scrappers layouts: July

Busy night last night with the Mad Scrappers Club ladies. Fab layouts created (and many more near completion). Some ladies braved the paint technique with fab results! There are a few layouts from last month to show also.

July Mad Scrappers Kit: LO #2

This is the second layout I have created using this month's Mad Scrappers kit of Bo Bunny 'Boardwalk' patterned papers, coordinating cardstock and KAISERcolour Paint in Marine Blue.

I used a dark blue card for the base (gutting out the middle as usual to use on another layout) and layered with 'Summer Fun' patterned paper.  I matted my photograph onto white cardstock then a piece of 'Drift' patterned paper, tucking a white paper doily underneath.

I cut out images from 'Beach Bliss' and 'Sandcastle' patterned papers, adhering them using double-sided foam tape.  Part of the title is painted using the KAISERcolour Marine Blue Paint.

A fairly simple and straightforward layout but I couldn't bear to cut up that fab 'Summer Fun' paper.  Looking forward to our Mad Scrappers Club tonight ladies - see you there.

July Mad Scrappers Kit: LO #1

This is the first (of three) layouts I have created using this month's Mad Scrappers Kit.  The kit comprises patterned papers from Bo Bunny 'Boardwalk' range, coordinating cardstock and KAISERcolour paint tube in Marine Blue.

I used 'Drift' patterned paper as the base and gutted out the middle (to use on other layouts).   I layered this with 'Ocean Breeze' and 'White' cardstock.  I used a piece of corrugated card (from an old box) to use as a stamp with the paint for the background.  This created the lined effect behind the photograph.

I added some paint splashes to the white cardstock before adding some 'banner shapes' I cut from the 'Beach Bliss' patterned paper, then added the photograph.  Three more 'banner shapes' were cut to add to the top left of layout.  I added some wooden star shapes (from my own stash), which were painted with the Marine Blue paint and Ranger Distress Paint in Fossilized Amber (not in kit).  The title is corrugated letters from my own stash.

First Mad Scrappers Club of this month is on Wednesday - see you there ladies!
