September Sketch Challenge

Another month, another sketch challenge!  Again, I have been drawn to the sketches of Susan Stringfellow at SketchSavvy.BlogSpot.com  I just love her ideas as they are so easy to interpret.

For September I have chosen this sketch (#114):

The theme for this month is 'Weddings'.  This is the criteria:

1. Create a 12x12 layout using the above sketch and use a 'wedding' photograph (or 3).

2. Include some 'embossed' paper or card somewhere on the layout.

3. Include some stitching (either machine, hand-stitching, or faux stitching).

4. Add a title and some journaling (or journal card).

The challenge is open until 30th September - plenty of time (so no excuses).  I will create a sample layout and post on the blog for you to get some inspiration from.

As usual, there are 10 entries into the draw  (in a block) for anyone who meets the above criteria of the challenge.  As shown this month, having your name in the draw in a block does work!  Beryl entered the challenge last month and her name was drawn out by the random number selector.

I would love someone else to have a go and win - so it's up to you.  Are you in?  Let me know if you are entering the challenge this month by leaving a comment below.

August Sketch Challenge Entrants

More sketch challenge entrants for August, courtesy of the ladies from the Mad Scrappers Club at our Saturday Scrap Day yesterday.  I love these days as we get a full 5 hours of crafting and it is so more relaxed than our usual club nights - as we have more time obviously.  Thank you to everyone who attended and made it a success (again!).

This first layout is from Gayle with a photograph of herself (isn't she adorable!) when she was a child (obviously!).  Love the photograph Gayle and the layout.  Thanks for entering the sketch challenge and sharing your childhood memories with us.

Next up is Kate with a layout of her daughter in Year 5 of her school.  Another fab photograph and lovely layout.  Thanks for entering the challenge and sharing with us Kate.

Both ladies have made a fabulous job of the sketch - good luck in the draw.  Will be back with the winner of the August blog candy tomorrow.  I will be showcasing some of the other projects from our Scrapbook Saturday next week.  Thanks for stopping by today.

And there's more!

More layouts from our Mad Scrappers Club on Wednesday night, this time from Linda S., Gayle and Karen F., using this month's kit of a Basic Grey 6x6 'Grand Bazaar' paper pad and coordinating cardstock.

Linda used navy cardstock as the base for the orange tones of patterned papers from the pack and they look stunning together!  A good choice of layout for all those photographs you may not have used on a 12x12 layout.  Fab layout Linda.

Gayle chose Bazzill Passionate for the base of her layout, to which she added the pink and yellow tones from the paper pack.  Lovely photograph choice and love those butterflies!  Fabulous!

Karen chose photographs from a recent visit to Tenerife for her layout using squares of patterned papers from the paper pack.  A CAS layout but very effective - love it!

Thanks for sharing ladies.  It is our Scrapbook Saturday today (yeah!) and a group of ladies from the Mad Scrappers Club will be creating with an 8x8 Graphic45 Easel Album, along with the fabulous Graphic45 'Come Away with Me' paper pads.  I will post some photo's of what we get up to tomorrow.  See you then.

More Mad Scrappers Layouts

More Mad Scrappers layouts from Wednesday night to show today.  Beryl and Eileen have created layouts using this month's kit of Basic Grey 6x6 'Grand Bazaar' paper pad and coordinating cardstock.

Fabulous photo's Beryl, shown to perfection using this layout.

Love this layout Beryl - so vibrant and perfectly matching the 'fun fair' photo's.
Eileen created this fab layout using the orange and brown colour combinations but added an extra dash of colour by using the striped paper in the pack.
Thanks for sharing with us ladies.  I will be back tomorrow with more from our Mad Scrappers.  Until then - thanks for stopping by.

Mad Scrappers Club

At last night's Mad Scrappers Club the ladies were very industrious and created some absolutely fab layouts!  It was lovely to welcome back Maureen and Stacy to our club (we all missed you).

Linda S. joined in our monthly sketch challenge and produced this fab layout:

Linda used some of the patterned papers from this month's 6x6 Basic Grey paper pad (clever cutting makes it look like she used a bigger sheet of paper).  Love the photograph Linda - thanks so much for entering the challenge.

Next up is Karen S. with two layouts from last month's kit that included Bo Bunny 'Somewhere in Time' patterned papers.

Love the use of the blue paint on this layout Karen as it ties the whole page together - fabulous!

Gorgeous layout Karen.  Beautiful photograph and I love your addition of the journal card telling your story.  Thanks so much for sharing with us.

As I said earlier, the ladies were very busy and I have several layouts using this month's kit to show over the next few days, so remember to pop back then to have a look.  Thanks for stopping by.

Another Buy Together & Save Offer!

Another Tando Creative 'Buy Together & Save Offer' is this double offering of fab Tando Clocks:

Buy this Tando Creative 'Carriage Clock' and get this one 1/2 price:
Tando Creative Printer Tray Style Clock

Limited supplies on this one and for a limited time only.  You can buy this offer HERE.  Postage to UK addresses only.

A couple of ideas on how to decorate these little beauties:

I used Prima 'Stationer's Desk' patterned papers on this Carriage Clock.

Joanne used some colourful patterned papers on this Printer Tray Style Clock.

These are lovely made up for gifts or just to make one for yourself.  I am having a bit of a Summer clear out and stocking new lines, so these have to find a new home and at these special offer prices I'm sure they won't be around for long.

Just to remind the ladies of the Mad Scrappers Club (as if they need it) it is the second club night tonight, so see you all at 6.30 p.m.  I will be back with some creations from our members on tomorrow's blog.  See you then.
