Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!  Halloween is celebrated on 31st October the day before the Christian feast day of 'All Hallows' or All Saints Day.  Halloween can be traced back about 2,000 years.

The paper manufacturer I associate with Halloween is Graphic 45.  Over the years they have come up with some fabulous designs for their Halloween ranges.  This year's range is called 'An Eerie Tale' and I found this gorgeous Halloween themed house by Laura Denison on the Graphic 45 blog.

Look what it is like inside:

Isn't that just fabulous!  You can see more images on the Graphic 45 blog HERE.  If you know of anymore facts about Halloween, leave a message in the comments box. Thanks for stopping by today.  I will be back tomorrow with the blog candy draw.  Good luck to those who have entered.

Layout: Twas the Night......

I love this year's Christmas range from Graphic 45 called 'Twas the Night before Christmas and couldn't keep my hands off these gorgeous patterned papers any longer!  I wanted to create a layout using an old photograph of my two girls but I think I must have scrapped all suitable photos already.  I did however, find this photograph of two of my Granddaughters (taken the night before Christmas in their new PJ's).

I used 'Twas the Night Before Christmas patterned paper as the base (and of course gutted out the middle), to which I added  (reverse side) of 'Bundle of Toys'.  I then layered up with tags and journal cards from 'Up on the Housetops'.  The large Santa and clock faces are from 'Jolly Old Elf' and the smaller Santa is cut from 'Bundle of Toys' patterned paper.
The complete Graphic 45 'Twas the Night before Christmas paper range can be found HERE.  I know some of you are not in 'Christmas mode' yet but it is only 8 weeks away (just thought I'd let you know!).  Thanks for stopping by today.

Layout: Come Away with Me

In a recent workshop with members of our Mad Scrappers Club, we created an 8x8 Graphic45 Easel Album using an 8x8 G45 'Come Away with Me' Paper Pad.  I also stock this fabulous paper range in 12x12 size and decided to create a layout using some of this range.

I used a photograph of myself and DH at the start of a Baltic Cities Cruise in 2007.  I used part of the patterned paper as my title (Come Away with Me) and cut out journal cards and tags from another sheet.  I used foam tape on the tags and journal cards to add some depth to the layout as well as inking and distressing the edges of all the patterned papers.  I used a small Tando Creative chipboard compass as an embellishment, which I painted with a Tim Holtz Distress Paint Dabber (Antiqued Bronze).
This paper range is perfect for all travel layouts and can be found HERE.  The Tando Creative chipboard compass can be found HERE.
Just a reminder that this month's Scrapbook Challenge will close on 30th October 2014.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Kaisercraft: Paper Packs

I recently added Kaisercraft to the catalogue of manufacturers I stock.  I have so far only bought individual paper sheets, but I have now added some of their 12x12 Paper Packs to that list.

North Pole is a young, on trend collection that has it all. With its fusion of Christmas patterns and on trend colours that are just as delicious as Christmas Day itself.

The Pitter Patter Boy Paper Pack is perfect for those adorable Baby Boy layouts, cards and projects.

The Pitter Patter Baby Girl Paper Pack is just perfect for scrapbooking those precious Baby Girl moments, or creating gorgeous gifts.

All these packs include 6 different patterned sheets of 12x12 double-sided patterned papers (2 of each sheet), PLUS a bonus Sticker Sheet.  That's 12 sheets of patterned papers and a Sticker Sheet for £9.99!

I also have ALL 3 of the new releases in November (can't show you until 1st November though!).  Not long to wait ......

I have also added Gayle's and Linda P's entry into the Scrapbook Challenge on the sidebar.  That's 10 entries each into the draw for this month.  Thanks for stopping by today and have a lovely Sunday.

More October Kit Layouts

More from Wednesday's Mad Scrappers Club today.  If you popped by yesterday to see this blog post, I was AWOL (again!).  This time doing a very important role of child minding my youngest Granddaughter who had an extra day off school prior to next week's half-term holiday.

Up first today is two layouts from Linda S., using this month's Mad Scrappers Kit that contains gorgeous patterned papers from Kaisercraft 'Rustic Harmony' range, coordinating Kaisercraft Cardstock and a Kaiserfusion Marker Pen.

I love the photographs that Linda has chosen for this lovely layout, each in their own individual frames (coloured with the Kaiserfusion Marker Pen).  Love the Prima arrows that connect the photographs and draw the eye around the page, and telling her story through her journaling card - perfect!

Linda used the Fuzzy Peach and Steele Cardstock and a journaling card from the kit for this layout but I love the personal touch of that fabulous 'Wonkas Golden Ticket' with that fabulous photograph - class!

Finally, for today is Karen F:

Karen used the 'Rustic Harmony' Euphoria patterned paper as the base for this layout depicting her hubby's flying lessons.  Love the title 'Via Air Mail' and the addition of the 'plane (from Graphic45 Come Away with Me range).  An eclectic mix of patterned papers but they work - great stuff Karen.

Thanks for sharing with us ladies.  Thanks for stopping by today - have a lovely Saturday.
