Mad Scrappers Club: September Kit

It's our first Mad Scrappers Club next Wednesday (of this month) and as September heralds the beginning of Autumn (did I blink and miss Summer?) what better way to embrace the changing seasons than using 'Autumn' themed papers in our kit.

We have some fab patterned papers from Carta Bella called 'Fall Blessings', Yam and Java Bazzill Cardstock and a pack of DIY Thickers Foam Letters (some packs may vary from the photograph).

I also added a paper doily to the kit as an extra (I so spoil them!).
Looking forward to seeing what our ladies create with this fab kit. Any kits left over will be available to buy from the online shop later in the month.

I have created two layouts and will post shortly.  Have a lovely day - please leave a comment so that I know you have passed by this way. Thanks.

August Kit: LO #2

This is the second layout I have created using this month's Mad Scrappers Club kit.  The kit contains patterned papers from Bo Bunny 'Penny Emporium' range, along with Latte, Steele and White Cardstock.  There is also a pack of MDF Cogs and Fob Watch in the kit.

I used the white cardstock for the base of this layout (drew around the edges to create a 'frame').  I used 'Gadgets' patterned paper (cutting around the circle shapes) and adding to the base cardstock.  The photograph was matted onto 'Steele' cardstock.

The cogs and fob watch shapes were added (in their natural state - you can colour them if you wanted to).  I used some of the Kaisercraft 'Antique Bazaar' - Salvage patterned paper to add the clock face to the fob watch (this is extra to the kit).  I used the fabulous 'Alphabet' patterned paper to create my title.

Loved using this kit - one of my favourites!  Not long now to our first Mad Scrappers Club this month - see you on Wednesday ladies!

August Kit LO #1

Using this month's Mad Scrappers Club kit consisting of Bo Bunny 'Penny Emporium' patterned papers, coordinating cardstock and MDF Cogs and Fob Watch - this is the first of two layouts I have created:

I used 'Latte' cardstock as the base of this layout, layering it up with 'Imagination' patterned paper (cut into shape using a Crafter's Workshop template).  I used the template to add gesso to the background of the patterned paper, as well as drawing faux stitching around the edges of the shaped paper.

The clock face is from Kaisercraft 'Antique Bazaar' Salvage patterned paper (which is extra to the kit).  The fab title was made from Bo Bunny 'Penny Emporium' Alphabet patterned paper (which is just gorgeous!). I added Prima flowers and some pearl gems from my own stash.

I'll be back with the other layout I created in the next few days. In the meantime, thanks for stopping by.

Mad Scrappers: Calendar Girls!

Mad Scrappers Club Members will become 'Calendar Girls' for the day (well between 1 - 6 p.m.) on Saturday 3rd October!  Before you scream ladies just let me explain.

Our next Scrapbook Saturday theme will be creating with some fabulous G45 'Time to Flourish' 8x8 patterned papers along with a blank 2016 calendar.

Here is a flavour of some of the gorgeous patterned papers in the 8x8 paper pad:

The calendar we will be working with is ideal for the 8x8 size papers.  As you can see they have a backing paper choice, plus all those lovely monthly sentiments and images to cut out to layer up your calendar pages.

I mentioned it to the ladies at last night's club and they were all up for joining us on the day.  I will give you more information at the next club night in August. Thanks for stopping by today, please leave a comment to let me know you have passed by this way.
