New in stock: Kaiserfusion Markers

I had a delivery of Kaiserfusion Markers yesterday(as well as the fab patterned papers from Kaisercraft, which I can't show yet).  As the Mad Scrappers will be getting one of these markers in their kit, I decided to get a few more colours.

The Kaiserfusion Markers are permanent, alcohol based, with a double ended bullet point and chisel nib.  Kaisercraft claim that they are ideal for colour blending, embellishment matching and can be used on metal, pearls, ribbon, rhinestones and much more.  You can now colour your pieces to match the tone and colour palette of your creations.

I have used the marker (from the kit) to colour some pearls and other gems for a layout I was creating yesterday (will show shortly) and found it to colour perfectly well and was pleased with the results.

Last chance today to leave a comment to be included in the draw, which will take place tomorrow.  How these month's fly past!  See you tomorrow and thanks for stopping by.

Teresa Collins: Tinsel and Company

Another fab Christmas range I have available to buy at The Scrapbook Garden is this beautiful paper pack from Teresa Collins:

This paper pack includes 6 sheets of 12x12 double-sided cardstock paper, 3 sheets of foiled paper and 2 sticker accessory sheets.  You can view the paper pack HERE.

I know it may be too early for some of you to think about, but Christmas isn't that far away - especially if you like making your own cards and Christmas projects well ahead.  Anyhow, I will leave you with that thought.

Leave a comment to let me know whether you are a planner or a last minute shopper (when it comes to Christmas).  If you are a blog follower and leave a comment, I will enter your name into the draw for this month. Thanks for stopping by.

Mad Scrappers: September Layouts

It was our second Mad Scrappers Club night on Wednesday and the ladies had a great time scrapping (and talking mostly!) with the September kit, which contained some Simple Stories 'Legacy' papers.  Here is a further selection of what they created.

Anne D. created this layout using the kit contents and adding some of the stickers from the Fundamentals Sticker Sheet to add the finishing touches to her layout.  Lovely family photograph Anne.

This is the first of 2 layouts from Gayle.  Using the pre-printed 'Family Tree' patterned paper, Gayle just had to add her photographs and some (obligatory) bling to complete.  CAS layout but very effective.

I loved listening to the story behind this photograph.  Great photo choice that works well with this paper range.  Another fab family layout completed.

Finally, Linda S. completed this layout (of herself with her parents) using the papers from the kit.  Another lovely layout for your family scrapbook Linda.

What struck me on Wednesday was the striking resemblances of the people in the photographs to their relatives today - some uncannily so!  A really interesting delve into our pasts.  Thank you so much for sharing your family histories with us (and your fab layouts).

Not long now until I draw for the blog candy for this month.  Leave a comment on this post today (and if you are a blog follower) I will enter your name into the draw.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Mad Scrappers: Layouts

Another successful Mad Scrappers Club night last night (we missed you Karen, Sheila and Maureen W.) but will catch up with you all soon.

The ladies had a lovely time discussing their family photographs (many dating back quite a while), whilst using this month's Simple Stories 'Legacy' kit of Simple Basics Kit, Journaling Card Elements, Title and Borders Elements and Bazzill cardstock.

First up today is Eileen with this fab layout:

Eileen adopted the 'journal on the page' idea and it opens up to reveal......

one of the journal card elements - all ready for her thoughts.  Love that idea Eileen.

I will be showcasing more of the Mad Scrappers layouts over the next few days.  In the meantime, we have an entry into the Scrapbook Challenge for this month - from Gillian:

Although not quite 12x12 (it is in fact a 10x10 page) but I have allowed it into the challenge as she has kept to the sketch brilliantly.  A gorgeous layout of her beautiful daughter (and her new husband of course) on their wedding day.  Gillian has made a fabulous album of the day, as well as the preparations leading up to the wedding (the ceremony in Cyprus and a blessing here in England).  Hats off to you Gillian for completing it already - impressed!

I have loads to be sharing with you over the coming days, so remember to pop back.  Thanks for stopping by today.
